I gave it this name due to it's vertical shape;
which deserves to my mind to something may have this type of fuction.
My plans are: cut a bigger vertical slot into the right place of the sphere
(see images into the proper page) and to fit this piece into it.
Then glue, sand and paint.
I made it using some black plastic piece with a deep slot in it (always chunking with garbage plastic.... hehe ;-).
To be truth I found an U-shape and a straight line.
I glued the two pieces face-on to make the slot.
Then I sanded the back of the slot to give it the round-deep face-on shape
can be seen on the "original" shown above (photo courtesy Denny Gonzales).
Here you can see what I did after *LOT* of sanding.
All of them refer to the *same* piece.
The squares on the paper are 0,5 cm side (0.19") :
